About Alexandra Searson, PA-C

Alexandra Searson, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant with extensive clinical experience spanning multiple medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and rheumatology. She currently provides comprehensive medical dermatologic care at Dermatology Consultants of Asheville, where her practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders, evaluation and management of benign and malignant lesions, skin cancer surveillance, and performing biopsies.

Prior to specializing in dermatology, Alexandra built a diverse background in patient care. She has provided inpatient care on the Hospital Medicine service at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, and managed complex gastrointestinal disorders with Premier Gastroenterology, continuing to support patients virtually via telehealth after relocating to North Carolina. Her earlier experience includes serving as a first assist in orthopedic surgeries at Piedmont Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and managing complex drug regimens for autoimmune conditions at the Arthritis & Rheumatology Center in Roswell, Georgia

Alexandra earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercer University, graduating magna cum laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia, where she graduated cum laude

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds active Physician Assistant licenses in both North Carolina and Texas. Alexandra is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.
